The Farris and Foster Story

Farris and Foster's is the blending of the two friendships as well as the talents of two long time residents of the Orlando-Winter Park area of Florida. They have combined their enthusiasm, work ethic, and love of chocolate to form a company where the customer comes first.
Farris Riggsbee is a chocolatier of 16 years, has extraordinary talent in making the most delicious chocolates as well as pleasing to the eye. "He has more enthusiasm than anyone I know", says Foster. In fact, comparing Farris with the Crocodile Hunter, Foster says that Farris makes the Crocodile Hunter looks like Ben Stein.  Farris is also the eternal optimist, always happy and smiling.   When the business began, Farris was serving in the United States Air Force Reserves.  In 2003 he was called up to active duty and when his tour was over, the Air Force convinced him to stay on full time.  He still comes by occasionally.  If you're lucky you'll get to meet him when he visits.
Jon Foster Lanenga, a local entrepreneur moved to Winter Park, Fl. 19 years ago.  Now, Foster supervises the candy production and washes the dishes and everything in between (he even designed this spectacular and witty web site.)   He drives a yellow 1930 "Model A" Deluxe Roadster convertible and a red 1952 MG TD. Foster sings in a barbershop chorus  SPEBSQSA (Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America). He also loves to play the banjo.

Farris and Foster believe strongly in service to God, family, and community.  J. Foster volunteers in the Boy Scouts of America. Both have served many years in the youth programs of their churches (because they have never really grown up.)  Farris and his wife Roberta, have 2 adult children. Foster's family consists of "one and 1/2 dozen" - that's him and his wife Teri, and their 5 children. ( He looks way too young to have his 7 grandchildren.)

You can also describe both Farris and Foster with one word that explains their personalities and their preferences in chocolates:

Nutty!
