Ask
Dr. Farris  or  Dr. Foster

Eva L. from Wisteria writes:
I'm desperate for really good dark chocolate.  Price is no object.  Where can I get the best chocolate in the world?

Dr. Farris:  You can travel throughout the entire world and buy very expensive chocolates, but you'll find that the best tasting chocolates are right here in Orlando at Farris and Foster's Chocolate Factory.  We also deliver.  I think I know where you live and I'd be happy to drop something off an my way home from work.  When could I come by with some samples for you and be unnoticed by the neighbors?  Strictly business, of course.  I just wouldn't want them to get any, you know, ideas.  The people on your street are known for being, uh, well, you name it, they're known for it.

Donald T. from NY  writes:
Dr. Farris;  My hairstyle has always been a bit "unique".  When people talk about me, they always include a comment about my hair.  Your hair in your photo is laying down flat but in your logo it appears spikey?

Dr. Farris:  The photo is of me wearing a toupee.  I lost all my hair and looked ridiculous (unlike Foster) when I was younger. When I became wildly successful in the chocolate business, I got hair grafts to match my wild side and it has just sprouted up like this ever since.

(Editors note: let's keep this about chocolate or health from now on, ok?)

Kate B. from Hollywood writes:
Dear Dr. Foster,   I am an actress (from England) and am concerned about my appearance.  I am afraid to eat chocolate because I don't want to gain weight. I notice that you appear fit and trim with a pleasant disposition, a very attractive smile and... (she goes on and on, and at the end of 4th page she asks:)  Do you eat chocolate, and will chocolate hurt my appearance?

Dr. Foster:  I have found that eating chocolate everyday has had a miraculous effect on my health and appearance. With our chocolate, the more you eat the better you look.  The deep rich colors from the dark chocolate have improved my tan (a tip I learned from George Hamilton).  And I have the energy and complexion of a twenty year old, though I am really close to being in my thirties.  It also helps that I can eat just about anything I want, and I don't  gain any weight.  I attribute this to my parents.  They gave me some really good jeans. (Good jeans can make almost anyone better looking.)  My recommendation for you?  You're doing just fine. I don't believe that chocolate will hurt your appearance in the least.  I'll bet that you're quite a chocolate, lover.

(PS.  Kate, if you read this, call me.)

Mel G. from Malibu writes:
Dr. Farris:  I seem to have offended a lot of people recently.  Do you think that chocolate makes a nice gift and do you think it would help me?

Dr. Farris:  Chocolate as a gift is always in good taste. And while it 's a good start, it's going to take a lot more than that, pal.
PS.  Stay away from the rum truffles when you drive.

Does your chocolate contain any artificial ingredients?  I just hate anything artificial!

I understand that eating chocolate gives you a sugar high.  Is this true?  People have said that I have acted wild and crazy lately.  I don't want to give up chocolate. What can I do?
